Dear Sensei/Dojo Leaders, Parents, Athletes and Volunteers.
Hello everyone on behalf of Karate PEI, we would like to extend a formal invitation to all of you to participate in the upcoming events. As you may know, Karate was inducted to the 2023 Canada Winter Games for the first time in history.
It is a fantastic opportunity for our organization to have been included. We are only 6 months away from this major event on PEI. To participate and represent team PEI, the age of eligibility for athletes is from March 2, 2005, to March 1, 2007.
Canada Games training start on Sept 10, Saturdays at 2:00-3:30p.m. If your athletes are interested in being members of the Karate PEI provincial team, please ask them to contact by E-mail collin.affleck@gmail.com.
We are seeking volunteers for a series of events happening leading up to and including the Canada Winter Games. If you are interested in supporting the provincial association, you can register by visiting the Volunteer Centre Offices at 121B Sandstone Road, Charlottetown or by email at volunteer@2023canadagames.ca
In preparation for the 2023 Canada Games on Saturday, October 1, 2022, we will be having a test event where all the volunteers will have the opportunity to receive training. If you decide to register as a volunteer with Karate, you must present at least two identifications and keep your information with us up to date.
The 2023 Canada Winter Games will run from February 18, 2023, to February 25, 2023. For our Karate organization, it is especially important to have the participation and support of all the Karateka community.
If you would like further information in relation to the volunteer registration process, please do not hesitate to contact President Erick A. Silva by telephone at (902) 566-1472 or at E-mail: erick.silva.87@gmail.com, or any other board member by email or telephone. You can contact us at www.karatepei.ca
Thank you very much.
