Randy Rix – Karate Canada Junior Head Kumite Coach
Randy began training at the West Island Karate Club in Prince Edward Island where he earned
his Shodan in Chito-Ryu Karate. In 1994, Randy moved to Charlottetown, PEI where he
continued his training at the Charlottetown Chito-Ryu Club and was a member of the PEI
team from 1996 – 1999. In 2000 Randy moved to Nova Scotia and was a member of the NS
provincial team from 2000-2003. Randy now resides in Fredericton, NB where he trains at the
New Maryland Karate Club; his current rank in Chito-Ryu Karate is Godan (Shihan). Randy is
also the dojo coach for National team members Kate Campbell, Yashna Hathi, Hilary Pond
and Kristin Dixon.

Romain Losier – Head Kata Coach Karate New Brunswick
From St-Isidore, New Brunswick, Sensei Romain practiced Tsuruoka karate-do for the last 36
years, being the sensei of the Tsuruoka Karaté Tracadie dojo since 2003. Competed and trained
kata competitors at Provincial, Atlantic and National level since 2007, completed four karate
Canada summit in Toronto with former kata world champions from 2016 to 2019. Sensei
Romain is a certified NCCP coach and has been Karate New Brunswick kata coach for the last
6 years.
